What is Commercial Voiceover?
David‘s commercial voiceover journey began in 1997 on hospital radio at Manor Hospital, broadcasting every Sunday morning from 1997 to 2000. Since then, he’s built extensive experience across professional commercial work.
Why Commercial Voiceover Matters
Your voice is often the first impression customers have of your brand. Whether it’s a 15-second TV commercial, a 30-second radio spot, or a longer brand narrative, professional commercial voiceover elevates your message with:
- Authenticity:Â Natural RP accent that signals trustworthiness and authority
- Tone Control:Â From conversational to commanding, adapting to your brand voice
- Professional Quality:Â Studio-ready audio without extra production costs
- Precision Timing:Â Exact delivery for time-sensitive commercial spots
- Versatility:Â Range from high-energy promotion to measured, authoritative narration
You Need a Voice That Works as Hard as Your Brand
Hiring the right voice over artist for your commercial isn’t about finding someone with a nice voice. It’s about eliminating risk and getting results.
The Challenge
When you’re commissioning a commercial voiceover, you’re making a bet. Your brand reputation depends on the delivery sounding right. Your budget assumes it happens on time. Your client expects the audio to be broadcast-ready without a dozen revision rounds.
Will the tone match our brand?
Can we hit our deadline?
How many revisions are included?
Is the studio quality broadcast-ready?
Will this voice sound like every other ad?
The difference between good and great voiceover? It’s not talent, it’s reliability. You need someone who delivers broadcast-quality results, understands your brief, handles revisions professionally, and answers in hours, not days.
The Solution
Professional commercial voiceover from David Ault removes the guesswork. You get a dedicated process, direct collaboration, and proven results across every commercial format, TV ads, radio spots, digital advertising, and brand narration.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are your commercial voiceover rates?
Commercial voiceover pricing is usage-based, meaning your rate depends on the scope of broadcast reach and term.
For exact pricing on your project, contact me with details: script length, broadcast reach, media type (TV/radio/digital), and term. I’ll provide a transparent quote within 24 hours.
How many revisions are included?
Unlimited takes and tone variations during the initial recording session. If you want to adjust delivery, energy, or emphasis after we’ve recorded, revision requests are typically included in your package at no additional cost.
Major script changes (more than 25% of the original script) or additional sessions beyond the agreed scope may incur an additional fee. This keeps pricing fair and projects on track.
Can we do a live-directed session?
Yes. I offer live-directed sessions via Source-Connect, ipDTL, Cleanfeed, or professional Zoom. You (or your creative director) stay on line during recording, hear takes in real-time, and direct adjustments on the spot.
Live-directed sessions are typically a 2-3 hour studio block. Scheduling is flexible, early mornings, evenings, and weekend sessions available for tight deadlines.
Do you offer a custom audition before I commit?
Absolutely. This is my process. You send your script and tone preferences, I record it and send you an audition. You hear exactly what your commercial will sound like before you’ve committed to anything.
You can approve it, ask for refinements in tone/energy, or request variations. Only when you’re satisfied do we move to the full session and final editing.
What if I need something beyond typical commercial voiceover?
Reach out. I work on e-learning, audiobooks, podcast narration, IVR systems, and specialty projects. Pricing varies depending on scope. The pricing/usage model I’ve outlined above applies to broadcast commercials, but we can discuss flexible terms for other work.
